The Folkestone Owl Rescue Sanctuary provides a refuge for owls that are injured in the wild or can no longer be looked after in captivity.
This non-profit organisation was started in 1989 by Brian Maxted (below right), and can provide space for up to 50 owls all of whom need care and attention.
The Folkestone Owl Rescue Sanctuary relies entirely on donations.

Visitors are welcome and we are more than happy to give information about the owls to anyone wanting to learn more.
School groups can also be accommodated.
The centre is open from 11am until 4pm.

We also visit local schools, clubs and associations bringing a 'friendly' owl with us, so that children can experience the magic of a close encounter which will arouse their natural curiosity and interest.
There is also no charge for this service.
To arrange a talk or a visit, please call Brian on 01303 259794.
